FAQs

  • What is meant by Pre-Care?

This applies to all Permanent Makeup (PMU) treatments. No caffeine for 24 hours, no fish oil pills/ vitamins for a week, no working out 24 hours prior, no pain pills the week prior.

I will send you a detailed list when you book.

  • What about After-Care?

PMU treatment - No sweating, getting them wet, sun exposure, no. picking, itching, no hot steamy showers and very light after care gel.

  • How long will the PMU procedure last?

It varies depending on ones lifestyle. Typically 12- 18 months.

  • How do you choose my brow/lip color?

I make a suggestion of the color by looking at your undertones, skin tone and natural brow color. Equally for your lips, we will make a joint color selection based on desires and outcomes.

  • How do you draw/choose how my brows will look?

I map your brows using all your facial features and bone structure to assure your brows fit for your face perfectly. I also measure all the points I make between the head, arch and tail to assure perfect symmetry. I try to stick to your natural hair line as much as possible to avoid going any thicker than need be. I will also not move forward without your 100% yes.

  • How long is the PMU appointment?

A full appointment typically takes between 2-2.5 hours.
A touchup is typically 1.5 hours.

  • Does the PMU treatment hurt?

There is some slight discomfort at the beginning of the session, similar to getting threaded or plucking your brows. After the skin is open I apply a numbing agent that takes 2 minutes to kick in and then you do not feel any pain for the remainder of the appointment.

  • Will my brows/lips look too dark after the treatment?

Initially, your brows/lips may appear darker, but they will fade to your desired shade as they heal over the next 7-10 days.

  • What is the recovery time for the PMU treatment(s)?

You may experience minor swelling or redness for a few days, but the full healing process takes about 2-4 weeks. Following the aftercare instructions ensures the best results.

  • How long do I need to avoid working out after my PMU procedure?

It’s best to avoid strenuous exercise for 7-10 days after your procedure to prevent sweat from interfering with the healing process and pigment retention.

  • What are the benefits of Celluma Light Therapy?

Reduces acne bacteria, clears existing breakouts, improves elasticity and firmness of skin, stimulates collagen production, diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, improves circulation, reduces inflammation and stiffness and eases pain relating to arthritis, muscles, and joints

  • What is the purpose of LED Light Therapy?

Based on extensive research, low-level-light therapy devices have been cleared by the FDA, and shown to manage:

Mild to moderate acne vulgaris, superficial, benign vascular and pigment lesions, periorbital wrinkles and rhytides, sub-optimal local blood flow and circulation, minor muscle and joint aches, minor muscle and joint pain, pain and stiffness associated with arthritis, minor arthritis or muscle spasms, minor chronic neck and shoulder pain of a musculoskeletal origin

  • What can I expect during my Celluma LED light therapy treatment?

Low-level-light therapy is based on light emitting diode (LED) technology developed for NASA-manned space flight experiments. In comparison to lasers, the patented LED technology generates negligible amounts of heat, is painless and extremely safe for most people.

Celluma is not recommended for children under 12, for pregnant or breast feeding mothers, for anyone with a history of epilepsy or over a known tumor or metastasis.

  • What is LED, low level light therapy?

Low-level-light therapy or photobiomodulation is based on Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology and is the application of light energy to the body for therapeutic benefits. The energy delivered by the LEDs has been shown to enhance cellular metabolism, accelerate the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, as well as stimulate the production of collagen — the foundation of healthy, smooth skin. Research has shown that LED light therapy may help smooth skin texture, improve skin firmness and resilience, increase lymphatic system activity, restore skin’s natural cellular activity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and superficial hyperpigmentation.
